Ph.D. from the Department of Automation of Manufacturing and Assembly processes of Moscow Auto-mechanical Institute, Moscow, USSR (Now Russia) in 1989.
b)
M.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering, Production) with Honors (100% Excellent Grade i.e. CGPA 5.0 out of 5.0.) in 1982 and secured 1st position out of 125 students from Volgograd Polytechnic Institute, USSR.
c)
H.S.C. (Science Group) from Dhaka College, Dhaka under Dhaka Board in 1975 – 1st Division with distinction marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics and secured 12th position in combined merit list.
d)
S.S.C. (Science Group) from Tejgaon Polytechnic High School. (Now Tejgaon Government High School) under Dhaka Board in 1973- 1st Division with distinction in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Elective Mathematics.

Attended one-month course on “'Building Administrative Capacity in Bangladeshi Institutions of Higher Education' in Pennsylvania State University, USA.

Successfully completed an advanced training course on finishing operations of metal working (Forging, Forming and Burnishing) for six months.

Received one year training on computer programming and CAD-CAM as the pre-qualification procedure of Ph.D. course.

Attended one-week training course on CPM/PERT conducted by Bangladesh Management Development center.
